Robert Stein

Robert Stein has been working for various private equity firms in Germany and other European countries since 1996. In 2013 Robert Stein founded the company CAPNET, which focused on advising family offices in the context of their private equity strategies, as well as taking over complex private equity portfolios. In this context, Mr Stein was employed as a senior advisor for Rianta Capital, a UK family office, from 2014 to 2016 and was a member of the investment committee. CAPNET’s activities were integrated into Arcana Capital AG. After Robert Stein had worked for 3i from 1996 to 2006, most recently as a partner and managing director in Germany, he was responsible for managing the German medium-sized fund Argantis from 2007 until 2013. Robert Stein was responsible for a number of successful transactions. Moreover, he was responsible for creating and developing investment teams, as well as for the strategic direction of business areas and funds. Robert Stein began his career at Arthur Andersen where he was employed from 1991 to 1996. Robert Stein studied Business Management at the Berufsakademie in Mannheim and at Southbank University in London.
